Wallstreetbets State of the Subreddit

Wallstreetbets is unique on reddit because of its... "culture". We are all here for a single reason: To make money on high risk plays.
Gains made overnight, or by holding through hell and high water, are to be equally celebrated.
Losses should be mocked, derided, and if unique enough, given the high honor of being put into automod.
At all costs, if we are to remain different than the rest of reddit, we must avoid the following:

What you can do to keep this place great

What we're doing to keep this place great

  • The whole mod team has been working overtime, clearing out low quality content and keeping things fresh. Less than 1% of threads make it out of /new.
  • In the absence of u/zjz's incredible bots, we're building new tools to assist with moderation efforts, but remain hopeful that zjz can return soon.
  • We're planning some fun community events. Can't say too much, but those of you who have been around will know. Guess we'll have to wait and see.
  • We will be reintroducing stickied DD threads. These will be automatically stickied based on flair, with high account age restrictions.

Why was my post/comment removed? CORRUPT!

Over the past week, there were multiple really good DDs and YOLOs on PRPL, FNKO, SNDL, and many other stocks. The kind of stuff that gives you hope that the old WSB is very much alive.
But you may have missed them because the front page was dominated with GME related talk.
Don't let the bandwagoners steal your fresh DD. Downvote spam and low effort posts, upvote innovative posts.

A note on the moderation team:

The team we currently have (missing you u/zjz) is the best we've ever had. Everyone on this team is entirely committed to keeping the subreddit stable and top notch.
This mod team is a completely different beast than the two mod teams evicted over the past year. They are the ones who have actually put work into the subreddit over the years, and aren't just inactive. They have poured their souls into this sub for years. Yes, some are using throwaways because they'd rather not get doxxed (again), but if my vouch isn't enough, u/zjz vouched for them as well.
Making everyone a mod for a week, paper trading competitions, automod responses, the discord and plenty of other fun facets of the subreddit were done by this very team. If you don't know what I'm talking about at this point, stick around. You'll have a blast.
P.S. Dear SEC Intern: We don't endorse any tickers or movements. We're just here to trade and make dick jokes.

True value - an open letter from Billy Markus, co-founder and original creator of Dogecoin

Hi folks! I can't believe this place is over a million members now - back when I was active we had less than 10% of this! So I'd like to introduce myself to many new folks - I am Billy Markus, the original creator of Dogecoin. As you may have heard, it was indeed created for sillies after Jackson Palmer made an flippant tweet about it that idea being the 'next big thing' and I threw it together, without any expectation or plan. It took about 3 hours to make, with the bulk of that time making alterations to the client to make the text Comic Sans and some custom graphics and wording for different pieces of the UI.
As I mentioned on my twitter, I'm no longer part of the Dogecoin project, I left around 2015 as the community started to strongly shift from one that I was comfortable with. I don't currently own any Dogecoin except what has been tipped to me recently, I gave away and/or sold all the crypto I had back in 2015 after being laid off and scared about my dwindling savings at the time, for about enough in total to buy a used Honda Civic. I'm not struggling - I work full time as a Software Engineer - but I'm mentioning this to set the record straight, as there are many incorrect assumptions around about my involvement and stake in the project.
So if I'm not involved in Dogecoin, why did I want to post? I wanted to give a little perspective and history for some of the founding principles of Dogecoin, for anyone who was willing to listen.
Dogecoin message
With the recent Dogecoin mania going on, my inbox was being flooded by people demanding me to do things for them so they would become richer. This was a bit jarring for the reasons I mentioned above - and while I am sympathetic to those struggling and understand how emotional and important money can be, especially right now with this pandemic, I couldn't help feeling pretty down about it. My mom is currently struggling to make her home payments and will likely lose her house, and if I hadn't "messed up" my crypto investments years ago, I would be able to comfortably help her.
But I did receive some encouraging words and a few small tips - and honestly, that did help take the sting off everything and elevate my mood. And more relevantly, it reminded me of one of the original messages of Dogecoin - one of unexpected generosity. I'll explain that message with a story.
"Save Dogemas"
The first few weeks after Dogecoin was released was incredibly fast moving, and I think I would succinctly describe it as "complete utter insanity." It went from a silly joke to something worth something to people very quickly, and a community was developing fast, with lots of shady people and lots of new people, quickly putting up services and infrastructure around it.
One of those things was an online wallet - instead of having to download the clunky and slow main client where you have to download the whole blockchain, someone had provided a service to hold people's Dogecoin for them. Online wallets in the history of cryptocurrency have a history of being sketchy, however, and sure enough, on Christmas, the wallet was hacked, and 21 million Dogecoins were stolen in the process.
This type of story was all too common in cryptocurrency world, but what happened next was not. Some members of the community got together and started a Dogecoin fund to "Save Dogemas" - to try to return money to those who had lost it, and the community - to my great surprise - was willing to help. The Dogecoin community donated millions of coins to help those who had been victims of the bad actor - and that spirit didn't stop, the community would donate Dogecoins for both good causes, such as helping build water wells in Africa, helping connect service dogs and kids, and silly and amusing causes, such as helping send the Jamaican Bobsled team to the Olympics, or sponsoring a Nascar driver.
True Value
People are talking about Dogecoin going to $1 - that would make the "market cap" larger than actual companies that provide services to millions, such as Boeing, Starbucks, American Express, IBM. Does Dogecoin deserve that? That is not something I can comprehend, let alone answer.
Again, I have no real say in this, and everyone has the right to value the coin in any way they wish - it is just my wish, as the original creator, that Dogecoin and the Dogecoin community can be a force for good. And I don't mean that in some sanctimonious way where the only thing of value is giving to charity or directly helping others - anything that is amusing or fun has value as well. The fiat value of Dogecoin is quite literally whatever someone else is willing to pay for it at any point in time, and the intrinsic value is not something I will ever be able to define, so when I talk about value, I'm not talking about those things. I'm talking about "True Value", which I'd define as the positive things Dogecoin brings to the world.
Pump and dumping, rampant greed, scamming, bad faith actors, demanding from others, hype without research, taking advantage of others - those are all worthless. Worse than worthless, honestly, bringing more negativity to an already difficult world. As the creator, some have called me the "doge mother" so I say this with that mask - when I see things like that - and I've seen plenty of it through the last 7 years - I'm not mad, just disappointed.
Joy, kindness, learning, giving, empathy, fun, community, inspiration, creativity, generosity, silliness, absurdity. These types of things are what makes Dogecoin worthwhile to me. If the community embodies these things, that's True Value.
If you read this far, I appreciate it. Keep educating yourself as much as you can on how cryptocurrency works, how these markets work, never risk more than you could safely lose, be vigilant and aware. I wish you all the best.

Follow the crumbs. $GME exposed the meta.

A friend of mine just sent this over to me. He's a noob and I'm a noob but in the true spirit of karma whoring for fake internet points I wanted to share and they said it's my funeral. Note we are both total retards, noobs and have no skin in the game cuz we too poor and can only afford plain popcorn, but we desperately want to see WSB succeed and Power to the Players! Do not take this as financial advice or god have mercy on your soul.
Uh guys… so we may see a crash that makes Enron look like a joke. There could be more than a short going on here, and more than firms pulling capital from other companies to cover.
I don’t mean to go all conspiracy theory on you, but hear me out.... I think everything is going so off-the-rails not because of the short, but because Vanguard, Fidelity and BlackRock have sold more stock than exists. This is illegal (duh) but it has happened lots of times in the past. In fact, we didn't have real laws against it until 2008. We may see some bizarre moves if WSB doesn't sell, because some people need to hide some crimes. No joke. Here's why I think this may be the case:
---------- The Background ----------
Read this first to understand how naked shorts work:
https://www.sec.gov/about/offices/ocie/options-trading-risk-alert.pdf
Basically, to short a stock, you must “borrow” the stock from another account, usually something like a margin account. This is something that typically the clearing house does on behest of the fund doing the shorting. Most people don’t even know when their shares are being borrowed by a hedge fund for the purposes of shorting.
A “naked short” is when you short a stock, but don’t confirm that the stock you are borrowing actually exists. This can happen when a clearing house either purposefully or inadvertently (ahem, sure) lends the same stock more than once. This basically clones the stock, just like an item cloning glitch in a video game. There are now two copies of the same stock in existence being actively traded… at least temporarily. Hold that thought.
Naked shorts can be devastating to the company being shorted, as not only do they lose liquidity because of the short, the cloned stocks serve to dilute the value of the real stocks being held by artificially increasing the number of stocks being traded. Especially for small companies doing initial investment rounds, this practically guarantees bankruptcy: the diluted value limits the amount of capital they can raise, as the company never sees the cash from the cloned stock.
Now, after the 2008 crash the SEC in theory made this illegal. Obviously, this practice kills companies if the short succeeds or destroys markets if the short doesn’t succeed. Either way, someone gets hurt.
HOWEVER, there’s a catch: Because hedge funds and clearing houses are permitted to operate behind closed doors, the SEC can only detect a naked short when a “failure to deliver” occurs. When someone calls the short, either because of a buy or because someone withdraws the right to loan their shares, the person shorting then has 3 days to deliver. If they can’t deliver the share (because it doesn’t exist) within 3 days, then this gets reported as a “failure to deliver”. Now, the SEC may look past a few of these because floats do happen, but too many and the SEC is obligated to open an investigation.
But of course, that never happens. The clearinghouse only has to report the net deliveries, not the actual transactions. This means that as long as there is someone buying on the day the failure-to-deliver would occur, the clearinghouse can roll the transaction forward… basically just like floating a check. The non-existent cloned stock is bought with the new buy, and the sell of real shares that should have covered that buy is left open but doesn’t need to be fulfilled for three more days. The clock resets. This is sort of like somebody-I-know used to do by floating checks back and forth between two different bank accounts: keeping the money in the air for several weeks until payday by continually writing checks to cover checks. Super unethical, but does work.
But, this can’t be continued indefinitely. There are SEC rules that make it tough to do this for longer than 21 days. IANAL, I don’t know every loophole, but that’s my understanding.
This is why after 2008 it became so important for the hedge fund to bankrupt the target company. If the company goes bankrupt, then the shares cease to be and the books never resolve. Even some kinds of restructuring can keep the books from resolving. It’s still possible to cover this without bankrupting the company if you can get enough people to sell, but it’s easier to crash the company and just make it all go away while pocketing cash from more shares than were ever real.
---------- The WSB Play ----------
Ok, now read this:
https://seekingalpha.com/article/4370860-gamestop-short-squeeze
This was basically the original WSB plan back from October. Don't worry about the plan... we know what's going on here already. Melvin Capital shorted by 140% which is more than the float. Gamestop had enough cash to cover debt so it seemed unlikely they would fail unless the hedge funds forced it to. Squeeze looks obvious when you lay it out that way.
BUT, there is one chart here that is super important when folks were trying to figure this out: look at the chart for institutional ownership!
https://i.imgur.com/Jh5AI8V.png
The top three names on that chart are Vanguard, Blackrock and Fidelity. As is suggested by the author, there is a strong likelihood that the top holders already loaned out all their shares to Melvin Capital. The shares had to come from somewhere, and this is the only place they could have come.
This is why some people thought this was a good move. Not just because there was a short, but because they could see that all the shares had already been “borrowed” which would force the hedge fund to buy at any price. There were simply no more shares available to option for any other kind of fuckery.
---------- The Expected Response ----------
Okay, so WSB made their move. And predictably Robinhood and a bunch of trading platforms cut the ability to buy GME. Seems obvious enough as a strategy to stem the bleeding, regardless of whether it is coming from Robinhood or, as they claim, the brokerage above them limiting trades for reasons. Whatever. Either way, this is an obvious response.
Likewise, there have been numerous pushes from the hedge funds to either convince WSB the positions are closed, or to convince them to change their position from GME to Silver.
Despite what the news is reporting, no one in WSB appears to be buying silver. Maybe someone is, but it ain’t them. I did a site-wide search for silver, then pulled the post history for all the accounts that made the posts--of which there are shockingly few compared to what the news media is implying. The only accounts promoting this appear to be mostly bots: they became reddit premium within the last week, or they are necro accounts that have no posts for two or three years until suddenly dozens of silver related posts in the last few days. Conversely, there are been numerous long standing accounts warning others that these silver posts are bots.
None of this is unexpected. Bots and media manipulation have been par for the course for political bullshit for the last few years.
Boots on the ground, I have literally no idea where the news media is getting this story other than a change in silver pricing. I am not seeing any such discussion in related communities, and certainly none that pre-dates the news stories! To be fair and avoid conspiracy: I don’t hang out on twitter. There are retail traders outside of Reddit, and perhaps the media is clumping multiple groups together and mistaking Twitter for Reddit. Wouldn’t be the first time. Even on 4chan /b/ is not /pol/ and so on. People make that mistake all the time, so the misrepresentation may be entirely unintentional. I know the internet is a weird weird place and not everyone gets how it works.
The last expected response is the fact that many of the hedge funds bought new short positions, especially assuming that most of Reddit would sell on Friday. (Which they did not) There are additional short positions held that expect WSB to fold within the next week. This coincides with the news reports expecting people to try to collect their profits. Of course, many people don't intend to do that. They aren't worried about the profits they want to see hedge funds go down.
But all this movement leads to an obvious question: If there are no shares available to borrow, then what are they borrowing against for the short??
---------- Clearing Houses are Sus ----------
Okay, soooo…. We expect Wall Street to prevent buying GME, which they have; and to unleash bots to change sentiment, which they have; and to promote news stories to try to change the situation, which they have.
BUT, with all of this, there are two retail trading platforms that are still allowing GME trades: Vanguard and Fidelity. There is also one firm that started buying GameStop themselves five days ago: BlackRock. Sound like a familiar list?????? These are the firms that held the shares that the hedge funds were borrowing against to short.
Now, if all the funds are trying to stop the bleeding, WHY would these firms still allow trading when no one else is… much less start buying themselves?
Unless…. The shares DON’T EXIST.
You can’t float a check between two accounts without writing another check. Someone needs to buy the shares in order to push the failure-to-deliver of the non-existent cloned stock into the future, otherwise the gig is up and the SEC finds out. If Vanguard and Fidelity become the only source for Redditors to buy from, then they can keep moving the doomsday clock forward. BlackRock can do the same thing by buying the stock themselves. Not as good a position, but not a lot of other choice if they need the books to read clean. Ok, someone with more experience than me can surely explain this better as there are some gotchas, but that's the basic gist.
More proof those shares don’t exist? This academic paper from last year gives a clue:
https://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=3673531
Even if you own shares, you can’t vote in a shareholder’s meeting if your shares have been loaned out. Less than half of GameStop shareholders were eligible to vote by April of last year, with even fewer by August! There were so many shares borrowed SIX MONTHS AGO that it was affecting GameStop’s ability to hold a quorum among shareholders.
Now the paper was only concerned about how short selling was affecting company’s ability to administer. The idea that these were naked shorts never came up AFAIK. But knowing what we do now, this seems increasingly likely.
Also, for good measure beyond academia, this was in the news from last year:
https://www.wsj.com/articles/how-investing-giants-gave-away-voting-power-ahead-of-a-shareholder-fight-11591793863
If you look at the volume that WSB has bought since then, and the amount held in options, and the amount of shares that have been borrowed against in the last week or two as hedge funds have placed a second set of shorts… well… it sure looks like there are way more shares on the market THAN EXIST. Of course, without having the records from the clearing houses, AFAIK there's no way to know for sure. Only the SEC can do that.
I don’t mean the bet WSB played… that Marvin had 140% of the FLOAT. I mean that Vanguard, Fidelity and BlackRock have sold more than the TOTAL SHARES that EXIST.
That's a completely different problem and it's punishable by jail time. Not a joke. It's basically counterfeiting stock shares, although that's not the terminology used. If this is true, who knows how many other times they’ve done this. Or maybe it's not true, and they just really like the stock??? If BlackRock started buying five days ago, and the longest they can likely do this is 21 days, then the doomsday clock doesn’t run out until at least February 17th. If Wall Street can get WSB to sell before then, then they won’t get caught and won’t go to jail. But if they don’t…. well, this will make Enron look like chump change.
If enough people hold until the end of February, and this is truly the situation, then there is a chance that major parts of Wall Street are going to IMPLODE.
---------- The Conclusion ----------
Apes need diamond hands until the end of February in order to get the SEC involved, most likely somewhere between Feb 17th - 19th. Whether or not this will happen is anybody's guess, but if it does all heck may break loose!
Wall Street will probably do everything in their power to prevent that. There are too many top players involved. Crazy moves are likely because stock brokers are smooshy and jail is uncomfortable.
This may effect the market. (Duh) Bloomberg may be correct, but not at all for the reasons stated. But, that said, I wouldn't panic if it does. I think it will be fine in the long run, but that's a whole other set of reasoning for another day.
Standard Disclaimer: This is not financial or legal advice. I am a retard and I have no idea what I am talking about. This is entirely speculation. :)
Edit: here is the link to my second attempt to post to WSB, maybe a mod can reverse the removal? The post still shows listed on my end: https://www.reddit.com/wallstreetbets/comments/la9ms9/follow_the_crumbs_gme_exposed_the_meta/
Edit 2: Ok so don't ask me for stock advice. I don't know stocks and neither does my friend. We both think holding is the right move but beyond that we don't know and could even be wrong about that. And furthermore I don't want this to come off like we're accusing these companies of nefarious deeds. We don't know what is going on. The data is sus. The activities are sus. Google is your friend and the post tries to list sources for the research. Do your own research though! For ducks sake this is a rando post on UserSub. I'm happy to see the love but this is a one shot research dump by someone who knows nothing about this topic.
Edit 3: u/traveljg has commented that Blackrock is on the record for selling not buying but I don't know enough about any of this to challenge the idea one way or another and my friend is off on some other crusade at this point so he's worthless for questions. This is why it is SUPER important that you do your own research and not take advice from a rando.
Edit 4: I'm not responding to chat requests. If you have comments make them on the post. What is wrong with you retards?

AITA For Telling My Sister She Was Dating My Bio-Father?

So, my life's turned into a bloody soap opera recently and I could use some outside opinions here.
I (24F) am the product of my mom having an affair. Fortunately my dad decided to forgive my mom and keep me, and I had a pretty good upbringing. But I don't really look a lot like the rest of my family (I'm the only redhead, among other things) and I did ask questions of a 'why am I the only one with -insert trait here-?' nature growing up. When I was 17 my mom took me out for ice cream and introduced me to my bio-father. She said that she felt I was old enough to know the truth, and explained about her affair, while also A) making me promise I wouldn't tell my older sister (27F in the present) and B) hammering home along with my bio-father that he'd never be part of my life and didn't want me.
It was a lot, I won't lie, but I learned to suck it up and move on with my life. Fast forward to the present. My big sis has always gravitated towards older men (we like to joke that it's the result of too many George Clooney movies growing up) and two months ago shared a picture of herself and her new boyfriend. Who, to my shock, turned out to be my bio-father. I debated what to do for a couple of days, then ultimately decided she needed the truth and told her. My sister did not take it well and dumped him, but she wasn't angry with me. Honestly by now she's kinda amused, says that since she banged my dad she's my mom and has extra power to boss me around now.
My mom on the other hand, is furious. She says I divulged something that wasn't my secret to share, and that I had no business telling anyone. That since bio-father isn't related to my sister it didn't matter if he dated my sister and it wasn't like they were talking marriage anyway. It's been two month and she's still angry, still snide, calls me a traitor and finds excuses to make loud comments about how I can't be trusted with anything private or important so beware.
At the time I thought I was doing the right thing, but I've never seen my mom this angry before, and she's sustained that anger for 2 solid months, so I'm starting to worry. Did I actually do something really shitty, am I the asshole?

EDIT: Wow, this got a lot more comments than I expected. I can't answer everyone, but I do appreciate every comment and the support that I'm getting. Two months of having your mom furious with you takes quite a toll, so it's been really relieving seeing so many NTAs in the comments. Thank you all, I'm trying to read everyone even if I don't reply!

AITA for saying to my brother that his kids’ future isn’t my problem?

I (f23) lost my dad 3 years ago. It’s been hard and in that time i needed someone and none of my siblings were there for me. I have a different dad from them and that kind of drove a wedge between them and me. He was in my life more than their dad was and i guess for that they hated me. My dad was really well off and in his will, he basically left everything to me. With the help of my uncle, i was able to learn what things needed to be done so i can claim what he left and learn how to properly manage a house and car.
Anyways, it’s a big house. It’s 4 bedroom 2 bath. My best friend currently lives with me. I use the other two as a study room and art room. My brother (M31) has been talking to me lately about the house. He currently lives in a 2 bedroom apartment with his wife and 2 kids (6 & 8). He’s been looking for an upgrade and basically figured i’d be willing to sell the house to him. I told him i didn’t want to sell the house but i’d help him look for one. He said no and that he wanted mine, his wife likes how spacious it is and the backyard is large enough for the kids to play and for them to get a dog.
My brother went on about how i didn’t need a house because i’m young and don’t have a family so it’ll benefit him more than me. It was hard for me to say no but i did and felt bad enough about it. He and his wife have been calling and texting nonstop asking if i’d changed my mind. The final straw was when my brother called and said i was putting my niece and nephew’s future at stake by forcing them to be stuck in a small apartment when they need more space to learn and grown.
I feel like i’m the asshole because my reply to that was “their future is not my concern nor is it my problem” and i left it at that. My other brother says i’m being selfish to only think about myself and not care for my brother and his family. He agrees with him and believe i don’t need a large house because it’s just me and they believe i don’t know how to own a house like an “adult”. AITA?

Damn. I went to sleep and woke up with so many replies. My PM’s are filled with people calling me a liar and a bad sister for putting my friend above my family. For one, i’m not lying. I’d never in a hundred years lie about something like this. I was hesitant in posting because of this exact reason, i really cant prove im not lying without exposing personal details so if you can’t take my word for it, i’m sorry. And two, my friend is the closest thing i had to having a sister. She was there for me through thick and thin. I read the comments and THANK YOU for the tips and suggestions, i’m going to get in contact with my Uncle today and talk to him about it and if needed, i’ll find a lawyer. Also, i do realize i could’ve worded it better and been so i think i owe him an apology for that much.
One more thing- about the questions on why he wanted my house specifically? A lot of things come into play. All around it’s in the perfect place as its close to many places like grocery stores, schools, and close to his job. He did offer me a price once before but it was less than half of what the house was worth and i already knew if i accepted it, i’d be a joke.
And to add- thanks for the rewards y’all are too nice!

PSA to newer members of WSB.

I want to clarify a few things to some newer members. You have taken a few jokes we make seriously and it will cause you to lose money.
First, FOMO is an extremely bad reason to buy a stock or options. If you have to every ask “is it too late?” It is too late. Don’t ever buy a stock after it has rocketed up to ATH.
This was a very very standard but of advice until GME made it’s crazy run. Now it seems like the norm. It’s not. It never was, and it never will be. GME is a once in a lifetime run. You will very likely never see another one.
Second, diamond hands. Pretty much the same story. Diamond hands was seen as a very very stupid thing to do. Anytime you nailed even a 2 bagger we would always always tell you to sell it all, or at the very least sell half to secure some profit and hold the other half as a gamble.
Another note on diamond hands. If you are not familiar with organized pump and dump groups please read up on them. They create runs on a stock, then convince other people to buy it while they sell off securing profits.
The 3 biggest ways to spot a pump and dump is 1 fomo, and 2 they tell you have diamond hands. (Prior to diamond hands they would say “it might dip, but that’s expected! Don’t sell it will go up!” Lastly they will always sell it as a sure thing. No stock is ever a sure thing.
New people that witnessed GME are making these pump and dumps extremely easy to pull off.
My last bit of advice, bag holding isn’t a sound strategy. Holding a stock because you are down on it and only because you are down on it is stupid. Plain and simple.
Only ever hold on to a stock if you really think it’s going to go up. (With good reason.) you can sell, take what money is left and buy something else that will return a better profit. When you lose, ask yourself, if I didn’t own this stock right now, would I buy it at its current price having seen it drop? If the answer is yes, then hold it, if the answer is I would cum in my pants for a chance to buy in at this price having no losses! Then double the fuck down and buy more.
I have been on wsb for almost 10 years. I learned to trade here. I don’t have a job and trade full time for my income. There are some very very smart people here, it is up to you to find those people and learn from them while ignoring or laughing at the retards losing money for the memes.
Lastly, inverse wsb is a very legit strategy, think about that. Doing the exact opposite of the front page of wsb has good returns. (fscomeau, I’ll miss you, you glorious bastard.)
Edit: someone rightfully pointed out that the inverse wsb strategy has gotten its ass royally handed to it in the last 8 months. So maybe I’m that old guy that is struggling to keep up with change.

My HS tried to punish me for filing a 1st amendment lawsuit against them. I used it to get into my dream college.

Throwaway because it'll be easy to find my real identity.
In 2008 I was involved in a Federal lawsuit when my rural Texas High School tried to suspend me for wearing a shirt supporting then democratic hopeful John Edwards. (Hindsight is 20/20). They said it was a violation of the dress code, which was only ever selectively enforced. My parents had my back and agreed that it was, to quote my very white dad " redneck cracker nonsense".
I'll never forget during the initial meeting when my principal called in a school board member. He said that if I got suspended I would probably get kicked off the football team, and that could hurt me getting into college. It didn't matter, I was a miserable player and a smart kid so it wasn't gonna be what took me to college. But the slimy fake concern as he tried to leverage my future against my speech is something I'll never forget.
Anyway as the case goes on the squeeze gets tighter.
First they have the football coaches try to get me to drop it, having the football coach's talk about how my " selfishness" means that they can't wear Fellowship of Christian Athlete shirts anymore, trying to embarrass me in front of the team. I'm a fat kid who openly plays Magic the gathering in highschool, hit me with your best shot i have no shame.
Next they host a meeting with all the teachers telling them I'm a "problem" and that they need to keep an eye on me in case I "slip up". I found this out years after the fact when I bumped into my English teacher at a friends wedding.
Finally, they just start pulling in students from my classes to get them to say bad stuff about me. I was a class clown so this turns into every single dirty joke, rude comment, or loud fart i ever made getting reported to school administration. Which then leads to this awful little toady vice principal calling me and my parents in and reading them back in front of my mother. That one stung. My parents still knew it was bullshit but who wants their locker room jokes aired in front of their mom.
They used this as pretext to expel me for 6 weeks, citing "inappropriate sexual conduct". They shove me into the Disciplinary Alternative Education Program, and i am fucking steaming. The Program is basically where they warehouse kids with emotional problems they can't handle, you just sit in a room in a refurbished insane asylum and can't do anything but read or use the computer for monitored educational purposes. You also get booted from extracurriculars while you're in there. I know at this point they want me to make a scene so they can punish me further, so I do the exact opposite.
I channel all my rage and new free time into my school work, doing homework I would usually ignore because I knew I could ace the test. Now I'm doing both and my GPA is climbing. I start looking into scholarships and find a bunch that are really interested in political activism and guess who now knows a little bit about that, I apply and rip my school a new asshole in every one. Then, i work with my dad and we find an attorney who will take our case pro bono, which means while the school bleeds fees it doesn't cost us anything to keep it in court. I spent those weeks like a monk, motivated entirely by spite, doing everything i could to make their bullshit work for me.
I got out, got back on all my teams, and ended up applying for a prestigious honors program at my dream school. Not only did I get in but I got way more financial support than I thought I would. Eventually we lost the case, but the school had to abolish the dress code anyway because they couldn't afford to get sued over it again. I don't like the idea that a school lost money but man they made the choice they could have backed down whenever. Now I've graduated law school, am taking the bar in two weeks, and already have a job investigating government corruption. I'm getting paid to be a pain in the ass of petty authority, and it's pretty sweet.
Edit: Thanks for all the awards. To the many people who have expressed concerns about my Dox, it would be more or less impossible for me to talk about this story without doxxing myself. I have no other social media, and i'm completely comfortable being linked to this story. Therefore, i am largely unconcerned with the information being out there. I'd rather share the story than live in fear of some truly motivated maniac committed to targeting me.

AITA for suing my ex and her boyfriend?

My ex and I divorced three years ago. She was cheating, but at this point I don’t care about the relationship anymore. The pending lawsuit has nothing to do with her or him, but rather their actions.
My ex and I have a son 13m that we split time with 50/50. He’s a great kid that interests have changed a lot tbh as I imagine more kids/teenagers tend to do through the years.
One thing my son was heavily into at some point was legos. He use to play with them all the time, and personally I think they’re a great toy for different reasons. I use to love playing them with him, and to this day I still collect boxes that I leave unopened as a collection.
Well when my ex and I divorced she got with someone who loved legos more I guess? From what I know he loves making creations and building the sets in. I don’t care.. seems cool. He does one thing I think is very very weird.. He uses crazy glue so the sets can’t break or pieces can’t be lost. It seems so weird to me.
The issue is, I was out of town for all of three days last week for medical reasons, and my son wanted to get his ps4 so he could play it at his moms. This isn’t out of the ordinary at all and he has a key, so he let me know he would be stopping over for it. I told him to have fun when I saw him on the entry camera. My wife’s husband was with him which was a no-no. I told him via speaker to not go in and to wait on the porch.
He flinched but walked in any way. I sent my ex a text telling her to call him and tell him he’s one minute away from a cop call. He left my home with a bag in hand which I didn’t think much of because my son had his games too.
Well my son texted me later that evening and said he didn’t know it at the time but he’s pretty sure SD took some of my sets. These are all old sets and two are worth big money. When I got home I confirmed the missing sets and called my ex. She had no idea but he admired he took them but it was so son could have the sets to complete his collection... my son doesn’t even like legos anymore and told his mom he wouldn’t steal from me.
My wife asked how much it would cost to replace them and unfortunately it’s more than their savings. Actually, it would take their house down payment plus more. I told them if they didn’t pay in two weeks I was suing and pressing charges. The price in the sets makes it a felony.
My ex and her husband are saving for a house which would give my son more space when he’s there, but those sets were going help pay for his education someday or a home of his own. I filed the police report and have talked to a lawyer and we’re moving forward with the suit.
Everyone is calling me a joke because they are just toys, but I don’t get it. They are worth real money.. I’m not rich guys. I needed those to help with my sons future... but again taking this money does deny my son things at his moms house.
AITA here??
Edit* I’ve been asked to add these facts.
The sets have been opened which more than half their worth, and one was glued together. The damage was done already.
The stolen items are:
Kings Castle Milk truck Lego land train Carousel And the glued one was a Star Wars snow speeder.
Some of these are one piece of a larger set. So if you lose one of five, you lose the value of one produce plus the value of the set as a whole.
Second edit*
Ex wife and boyfriend are the same as ex boyfriend.. I’m just a bad writer.
Third/final edit for this post*
I know I haven’t been here much but I have read many of your comments and taken them to heart. I know my spelling is poor guys, and I apologize for the format. Calling me names in my private message was not called for, and I am not a scalper. I enjoy buying these sets and do not intend to sell all of them, but I want my son to go to college and not worry about debt, so I want to sell the ones that I can to help. I never had the smarts for higher education but my son is not me, and I love him and want him to do better.
Around 4:00 PM I called the local state police and met at their facility. I gave them all I had and gave my statement.
My son is with me starting tonight so when I picked him up I sent him into GameStop and called his mom. I told her I had filed charges and I asked the cop to call me when everything was done so I could give him the opportunity to turn himself in. I wanted to be better than he treated me. I’ll save her reaction for a real update btw—- can someone please tell me how to update because I don’t really understand the steps in the main notes.
I told my son when we got home what I did and why. My son said that I did the right thing because he didn’t want his step dad to think it was ok to do it again, and if he didn’t go to jail he’d rather be her away from him so it isn’t weird.

So fucking fed up with the sexism in my field

EDIT: RIP MY INBOX! Clarification at the bottom.
You often read posts by women lamenting their experiences of sexism in the workplace, be it missed advancement opportunities or the constant feeling of being scrutinized, of having to do better than is expected of their male peers to qualify. And then you get guys doubting that it's true and it pisses me off because I know exactly what it's like.
I'm a young male psychologist. Almost all my collegues both in this workplace and my previous two, and in the field in general, are women, most of them middle aged. I've never had a male boss.
And it is SO clear that anything to do with emotions or relationships or healthcare has become (or maybe always was?) a female-dominated field.
Up until very recently I was the lowest-paid psychologist in our office. Less qualified women with less experience and fewer years of employment in the field were being paid higher than me.
I constantly have to defend my methods and my choices. It is totally normal that patients sometimes want to switch therapists, hey, I even encourage it. Whatever's best for them. I have patients switch away from me at roughly the same rate as my coworkers. But for some reason, I'm the only person that gets called up to the boss to explain myself when this happens. Even though one of my coworkers (kudos to her for standing up for me!) explained to our boss (who has no mental health background) that patients switching is totally normal, I STILL get it thrown in my face in every yearly performance review.
It is never accepted as fact that I know how to do my job, I constantly have to prove myself. My female coworkers can work half as hard and receive twice the recognition, even the new hires it is just assumed from day one that they know what they are doing.
And idea presented at a meeting is scrutinized from every angle when I say it, accepted at face value when a woman says it.
If we are having a therapists' conference to discuss clients we need help with, and I give a response, the other therapists just keep asking the group until one of the women agrees with what I said or gives the same advice worded differently.
But fuck all of them, I will be free soon. If everything works out I will be going to a trade school this fall, this field I'm in just isn't worth it. After that I can just show up as an HVAC tech at any customer's house and nobody will ever question my competence based solely on my sex ever again.
Clarifications
First up, thanks for all the support guys, you've been great. I should add that I wrote this earlier in the day when I had just had a major "fuck this" moment after a female customer (rep of a large employer that pays for their staff to see us, sort of how workplace insurance works in the US) had called specifically to question my credentials and competence, based on one single patient having complained, something I can guarantee never has happened to any of my female coworkers, and never will. And I had to sit there and politely swallow her baseless criticism and smooth things over for the sake of customer relations. Never experienced anything like that and I hope I never will again either. I'll respond to some of the common answers ideas here:

AITA for not giving my sister (single mom) money for a car when I can afford to do so

I (17F) have an online shop that I've been running for about a a two years now. It sells mostly stickers with my custom art, as well as some other small items. I put a lot of work into it, basically if I'm not doing school stuff I'm working on stuff for my shop, I love it The pandemic has let me put even more time in and over the past 10 months it's done REALLY well. I have a good chunk of money saved for University and other things.
My sister (25F) is divorced with two kids (1M and 2F). She has a job and child support. We've never gotten along, she always acted like she was embarrassed by me. She's said I'm an anti-social nerd loser which - fair lol. One of the things she always made fun of was my sticker hobby. She said stickers were juvenile and I'm just creating more garbage in the world.
She totaled her car recently and can't afford a new one. My parents told her to ask me for a loan (they can't afford to help her) and she sort of scoffed and asked them how much a loser like me could have, I don't even work. They told her how much I have in my bank account and she called me DEMANDING I buy her a new car. Not asking, DEMANDING. She said I didn't need the money, that I could get student loans like she did, and that I was a bad sister for not offering to help her out / pay her when I knew how tough she had it.
She eats out all the time, buys expensive clothes/shoes/bags, makeup palettes, trips to the spa and with her friends (pre-covid). I had no idea she had it 'tough' but in fairness, even if I had, I probably wouldn't have given her money. At no point in this convo did she mention paying me back.
She said that I've never contributed anything to the family (which is a joke coming from her) and that further to buying her a new car, I should give her what I make from my 'dumb hobby' since as a single mom she needs the money much more than I do, as I live rent-free at home and don't contribute to bills or groceries.
The thing is - she's not wrong. But I don't want to give her a cent. She's my sister and I love her but I don't like her very much, she's selfish and entitled and it bugs me she just makes these demands like I'M the one being unreasonable. So I said hell no and that she probably is too good for my 'baby sticker' money anyway, I wouldn't want her to stoop to my level, then I hung up and stopped responding to her texts/calls/DMs.
My parents won't force me to do anything, they say it's up to me but that I should reconsider. She's my sister and is having a hard time and there are two babies involved, they need a car. I don't strictly need the money right away like she does and I was pretty snarky with her. So Reddit, AITA?
Edit: I just want to say thank to everyone that responded, I didn't expect so much support and I'm truly touched. I was freaked out at all the comments coming in but you're all so nice!! I've been reading everything, sorry for not responding to everyone.
I had a lot of conflicting emotions. I knew my sister was being a jerk but factors like her kids, quasi-recent divorce, and just the fact she can be really convincing had me questioning myself. I'm sorry if this post came off as validation seeking, I can see how it would. I thought helping her might be the right thing to do since I would if she were nicer to me and I didn't want to be petty. But there were a lot of great comments that pointed out stuff I hadn't thought about or was just plain ignorant on and now I feel a lot better about not giving her money.
So thank you again!! And thank you for the sticker love too lol

AITA for wanting to "verify" my husband's chores?

I feel like I might be going nuts and need a sanity check.
So husband (40m) and I (32f) had what started as a fun "chore game." Basically, to get motivated to do chores around the house, husband suggested "gamifying" it - we have a list of chores pinned on the wall, each with certain points: cooking a complicated dinner = 10 points, doing laundry = 5 points, and so on. It sounds silly, but it actually made it more fun and we could joke around that one of us was going to "level up" before the other.
Each week, the points reset, and whoever won would get a prize. Now before, the prize was always something like getting serenaded by the other person or getting a backrub. You know, super low stakes.
Then a month ago, husband suggested we up the ante and make it a "real" prize. He proposed whoever lost would wash the dishes for the next week (without earning points). I was hesitant because I felt like it could lead to resentment by the loser, but husband said that would just motivate the loser to try harder next time, and that washing dishes wasn't a big deal anyway. I thought there was no harm in trying it out.
It was pretty close competition, but husband won the first week. He then won the second, third, and fourth weeks too. I like to think I was a good sport about it, though it was a bit hard - while I was washing, husband would sit at the counter eating a snack and gloat/tease me. Saying stuff like "that's right, keep washing." I know he meant it as light teasing, and it was funny at first, but after weeks I found it obnoxious! I asked him to tone it down, and he would for a while, but then start up again.
Today, things got weird. It all started when I took a photo of the whiteboard we use to track points, to text to a friend since she wanted to try. A few hours later when I looked at the whiteboard and my photo, I noticed my points were lower than before. Now, I've always had serious memory issues when it comes to numbers (I can't even memorize a phone number) so normally, I would almost certainly write it off as my own mistake. But the photo was right there.
I didn't know what to feel. When I brought up the photo to him, he looked surprised and then said he probably accidentally touched/erased the whiteboard and wrote it back wrong. I asked him if maybe going forward, instead of relying on the honors system, we could have a Google doc with the points since Google shows you all the edits. I presented it as a way for us to avoid accidents.
Here, husband became really upset. He asked if I really distrusted him so much as to think he would cheat at a silly game like this, and all over washing dishes. I said it wasn't about the dishes, but being fair. He wouldn't hear of it and said my accusations really hurt him, that I was being controlling by wanting to "verify"/"audit" his chores. The more he talked, the more I started doubting myself. AITA for suggesting the "audit"?
EDIT: I've been asked to add this to my post: husband and I have a 5-month boy that I do most of the care for. The childcare doesn't get points because the system is that we don't get points for our "jobs." He works much longer hours than me as I only freelance very part-time, so the childcare is considered my job.
I'm understanding now there are a lot of problems in our relationship, though I don't want to make it sound like he's doing nothing either. He often works so much, sometimes he leaves at 6am and doesn't get home until around midnight. The way he's racked up points before is he does a lot of "big ticket" items over the weekend (he works four days a week, has the fifth day to recover as his work is heavy manual labor, then is pretty much doing chore work the whole weekend). The weekend is where I catch up on a lot of sleep, while he handles all of our budgeting and getting groceries, cooks/freezes a lot of meals for the upcoming week, general cleaning/tidying/house upkeep. That's when he watches me wash the dishes too, so the gloating is not happening all the time only weekends.
Reading all of these comments has been emotional for me. I was honestly so overwhelmed by some of the support that I cried a bit reading them. There have also been a couple of chat messages calling me a doormat/spineless/etc. which were quite nasty... but maybe they're not wrong. I feel validated but also embarrassed that I may have been so naive/played for a fool. I've known this man for a long time and my family loves him, I trusted him implicitly. Even now it's hard to get out of that mindset and I'm fighting the urge to make excuses for him.
This morning before he left, he said he was sorry the game upset me (I slept in the baby's room because I didn't want to be near him). I told him it wasn't the game that upset me, it was him. He kind of shook his head and said we'd talk more when he didn't have work.

$gme Price Target 🚀

Way too many times I see a price target of 1k per share, come on guys. We need to get a grip.
I’m talking 5 figures baby. Potentially 6 if they keep shorting it like retards.
We are holding the most shorted stock of all time. There will only be one $gme. After this is over and the stock has been squeezeth no hedgefund in their right mind will short a stock anywhere near that even without regulations coming in. The great VK squeeze went from $200 to $1000 on 12% short interest. I understand there cannot be a direct correlation and there’s different variables and players but whenever you look at $gme which is currently $312 per share with 120% reported interest still, the sky is limitless.
For the smoothbrains who can’t read:
💎🖐=$gme🚀➡️🌕
For Melvin capital:
My offer for my 62 shares is 20k per share and some GameStop merch. Every day you delay the price increases by 1k.
Edit 1/ Some didn’t grasp the price targets were a joke lol but I do think 1k is too low, just my opinion.

Bungie, the January 14th TWAB Has Further Tipped Players and Content Creators Against Sunsetting. References Included.

Well folks, this recent TWAB has seemingly caused even more community outrage than what it probably set out to resolve.
The issue at hand, once again, is sunsetting. It's a topic of conversation that has continued from the time it was announced, through the time it was implemented, and now after a few seasons of it having taken effect. In this particular case, sunsetting in relation to reissued loot.
Note: If you are from /all, I left a small section at the end explaining what sunsetting is. Welcome!

Forsaken and Shadowkeep Sunsetting

Since the beginning of sunsetting, one of the top complaints was the sunsetting of loot tied to the Forsaken and Shadowkeep expansions. Some feedback was specific to Forsaken and Shadowkeep by name, while some said that DLC loot should not be sunset. While not the main topic of discussion here, it should be noted that some players may have different interpretations of what "DLC" includes, so keep that in mind.
Nevertheless, Bungie sunset the loot anyway, much to the disappointment of others.

Reissuing of Forsaken and Shadowkeep Loot

First, I want to make something perfectly clear here: a lot in the community did request that Bungie add new perk options to weapons if they were going to be re-issued. This is what Bungie has done in the reissuing of Dreaming City and Moon weapons by introducing them with new perk options, some tied to specific dungeons.
Yet, this still triggered pain points in players for a few reasons:
  1. Players are unable to raise the infusion caps of existing weapons and armor that they have.
  2. Due to (1), players having to re-grind for weapons and armor that they already have completely invalidates grind-time already invested.
  3. Not all loot was reissued: loot that could be targeted via the Lectern of Enchantment was completely ignored. This leaves a lot of expansion weapons still sunset.
  4. For weapons that were reintroduced, there is no guarantee that players will be able to obtain a roll as-good or better than their existing rolls.
Let us not forget the blaring issue here: Forsaken and Dreaming City loot was sunset just two (2) months ago, and the player base is now being asked to re-grind again for the sake of grinding.

Content Creator Fatigue and Unrest

In what appears to be a rare instance in Destiny's entire franchise history, the player base and content creators are more or less completely united on the feelings of sunsetting. The recent TWAB has functioned as a tipping point.
While some do not care for or do not agree with content creators, they are still very important for a video game. Content creators were responsible for Among Us going from virtually no players to having hundreds of thousands on Steam alone, and millions when considering its other platforms. The truth is, content creators function effectively like a marketing engine for games. While they are playing a game they enjoy, they are also advertising the game to their audiences. Content creators largely do not play games they do not enjoy, and do not play games their audience does not enjoy.
For the past two months now, many prominent content creators have taken to their respective platforms to discuss sunsetting, and with the exception of perhaps CammyCakes and a small handful of others, most have changed from being pro-sunsetting to indifferent or outright against it. These content creators collectively account for all areas of the game, as some focus on PvE, PvP, or both.
Some were against it from the start and had to endure loads of "internet abuse" for putting their foot down so early. Here are some examples:
Bonus: In Bungie's tweet for the TWAB, there is quite a bit of feedback about sunsetting and reissued loot.
This should be a no-brainer: content creators actively criticizing the game is not a good look. Even worse are content creators announcing that they are taking breaks from Destiny for an indefinite amount of time, or outright quitting. This markets to their audiences that the game is not fun to play. Destiny should be a fun game.

Players Putting Down Destiny

Due to the introduction of sunsetting, it has fatigued players to the point that they have quit the game, indefinitely.
Joe Blackburn made a point in his "Rewards" TWAB post to the effect of wanting to make every season a good season to get started in Destiny. I feel that this goal was already partially achieved through the availability of viable seasonal loot, as well as the availability of targeted loot farms, such as Nightfall-specific loot (which is now sunset). Sunsetting has the opposite effect as intended, as any returning player will face the reality that their gear is no longer viable. Without sunsetting, they may have not had the newest gear, but their current gear could be used in the meantime. Sunsetting means that all old gear is obsolete, period. When Bungie raises the power floor next season, all gear sunset at the end of Season of Arrivals will likely not be viable even in the base Strike playlist, leaving only the Crucible and possibly the PvE portion of Gambit.
Even targeted loot farms such as the Wrathborn Hunts are no longer appealing. It no longer makes logical sense to put any more time than absolutely necessary to obtain a weapon, because any additional time is additional waste through sunsetting. I can personally attest to this. I have given up on getting a Blast Battue with Spike Grenades, Clown Cartridge, and Chain Reaction. There is no point in me wasting time grinding for a perfect roll when the weapon will be sunset. I surely am not going to waste my time grinding a Blast Battue just to have it sunset and then reissued so that I can have the pleasure of grinding it again.
Player fatigue will continue to build as seasons go on. Paul Tassi argued this point perfectly. Every single season will be about loss instead of gain. Season of Dawn weapons are about to head out the door. Will these weapons be reissued two months later with the expectation that players grind them again? How about Season of the Worthy? Seventh Seraph weapons are some of the sleekest looking in the game and work well with shaders. They are also an integral component of the ecosystem of Warmind Cells. Will these weapons be sunset? Hopefully sunsetting will be reversed by then.
We are now two seasons into sunsetting in its current state. Seven months and counting. The feedback is immense and the damage it is causing to the game is becoming irreparable with players permanently quitting and content creators seriously considering whether they should abandon ship and move on to something else.
Bungie, for once I believe you need to actually listen to the community instead of simply hearing. Sunsetting, while may have made logical sense in some respects, has been a complete and utter failure in implementation. It is time to revert sunsetting and return to the drawing board. Try something else. This is not the way. It really feels like the game is collapsing in on itself, like a black hole. As a person who really got hooked on this game in August 2020, it is a horrible sight to see.

Addendum

I am amazed and truly grateful for all the feedback and attention given to this post. It is my hope that this catches the attention of the community managers Cozmo23 and dmg04, as it provides yet another hub of community and content creator feedback.
I spent my entire morning reading all of your comments. There are simply too many stories of friends losing other friends and clanmates, one-by-one, due to the state that the game is in. Personally, I cannot even get friends to try the game in its current state. They refuse to touch it. Sunsetting has scared new players away.
It is my hope that this is the turning point for Bungie.
For users visiting from /all who are not familiar with the game:
For users who think that I should have written more about the community and less about content creators:
Got you covered. This post has a section on content creators because it seems that content creators and a majority of the community are seemingly unified on this one issue, unseen since Curse of Osiris.
I wrote the following a little over a month ago, in response to the "Rewards" TWAB by Joe Blackburn: Bungie, I really appreciate the “Rewards” update, but it seems that some community sentiments were completely missed
A note about Bungie Forums:
In the Destiny 2 forums, almost every post in the top ~10 is about sunsetting. Just wanted to include a shout-out to those folks as well!

AITA for correcting my brother’s blatant racism?

Background I F15 wholeheartedly believe that being racist is one of the worst things you can do. But I might be the A-hole on this one.
My brother M17 is usually a very funny guy, but he makes a lot of racist jokes that just aren’t funny. For example he will pick up a package of noodles in some Asian language, squinting his eyes and read it as ching chong ling long etc.
Now to the situation. My brother works at a fast food restaurant as a waiter, and he always says he has a tendency to try and match people’s accents as a joke(typically English isn’t their first language). He was with this family that was having a hard time with English trying to get his help, and he was already being pretty rude. Like when they wouldn’t understand he would just get louder to the point he was almost yelling at the people. Well I was trying my hardest to ignore him until I hear him say under his breath, just loud enough so people can hear, “If you’re gonna come to America speak English.”
Though those people were having a hard time understanding the menu I could tell they understood that. They looked heart broken. So I stood up and apologized to them on his behalf, and tried to help them order.
Well my family(including my brother) are saying I’m and asshole because I made him look bad, and that I should never have commented on what he said because it made him look unprofessional. Plus one of the nearby families eating heard and reported him to management so he might loose his job(he’s not dependent on the job, don’t worry he still lives back at home). AITA Edit for Spelling
For those asking I thought that Waffle House was a fast food chain. My apologies.
Update: My brother found this post and showed it to my family. On a good note: My family apparently didn’t understand the whole story and are now telling my brother how out of line he really was. On a bad note: My brother is now threatening to disown me. But I guess it’s okay, I don’t want to be known as the sister of the local racist anyway.
To make sure everyone understands yes he did get fired, but I USED to go their after school and wait for my brother to take me and my sister home.(he picked us up on his break)
P.S to all the people who took this seriously you really helped me through this. As a 15 year old in an area where you should never “turn on” family, I was worried I did the wrong thing. I feel much more secure in my choice now and I hope to continue to make good choices. To those who are telling me I am stroking my own ego I understand how obvious it seems now, and I don’t blame you for thinking that way, but I hope you can see it from my perspective. Plus for those sending me less than honorable messages, I am in fact a 15 year old. Man up and say what you’re gonna say publicly or don’t try to message me and try to make me feel threatened at all.
